As a graduate of Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington (VUW), with a background in Public Policy and International Relations, Taryn is sharing her passion for government and public services with REANNZ.Her studies initially brought her to Wellington to gain the expertise that decision-makers need to create fair and operational policies, but she has also been involved with a number of different roles and areas - such as mentoring, hospitality, sustainability projects and cultural leadership programs. Taryn is originally from South Africa and migrated to Aotearoa when she was younger. Her upbringing and travel background has shaped her appreciation and understanding of people, their values and what they stand for in different communities. Her empathy and passion for working with people, especially in a multicultural and mixed ability environment has developed her enthusiasm for strong and inclusive leadership and communication.E taryn.hopkins@reannz.co.nz
