We are looking for a Software Developer who wants to join our development team in building software that changes how the Research & Education (R&E) community collaborates, innovates and shares knowledge. In this exciting role, you will be working on designing, developing and deploying software solutions, such as Network Management Systems and Customer Portals, to support our organisation and our community.

You will be interacting with internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements, and designing, developing, testing and implementing bespoke information systems using Python, Go and web related technologies. You will also be testing, reviewing, enhancing and maintaining existing applications, and providing support for developed systems.

To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate hands-on development experience in a Linux environment and extensive programming experience with Python or Go. You will be proficient with web application development technologies and experience with one or more standard Javascript-based frameworks, such as Vue. You appreciate simplicity and quality in software and strive to achieve this in your own work. Ideally you will hold a formal qualification in computer science and have 5 or more years of relevant experience.
