We are looking for a Junior Network Engineer to join our Network Operations team. The Network Operations team are responsible for managing REANNZ Network service delivery and operations, including running the network and offerings, developing and maintaining documentation and implementing business and operational tools and processes. In this role you will be responsible for delivery of services internally and to the REANNZ community.
Responsible for running the REANNZ network and offerings
Work with the Network Operations team to manage implementation of the network roadmap including delivery requirements
Respond to technical issues relating to member access to the network
Responsible for Internal network support
Identify opportunities to innovate using systems and software
Drive key efficiencies through standardisation, automation and orchestration
Relevant tertiary level qualification in Computer Science, Information technology or Information Science or 1-2 years’ relevant experience
Previous experience working as part of an engineering team working within new network technology
Some exposure to IT systems and software experience, with a general knowledge of the telecommunications market and capabilities
Some exposure to network service delivery
Collaborative and passionate about our purpose
Demonstrates good judgment, ‘doing the right thing’ in the best interests of REANNZ and its members
Able to deliver operational processes from requirements through to solution delivery
Good listening and communication skills
Genuinely interested to seek out others’ ideas, with the ability to influence people and get them on board
